1 THE UTTARANCHAL BUILDING AND OTHER CONSTRUCTION WORKERS (REGULATION OF EMPLOYMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) RULES, 2005 In pursuance of the provisions of Article 348(3) of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Uttaranchal is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of Notification No. 963/VIII/680-Shram/2002, dated June 25, 2005. In exercise of the powers conferred under section 40 and Section 62 of the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996, (Central Act 27 of 1996), the State Government of Uttaranchal, after consultation with the Expert Committee constituted under section 5 of the said Act, hereby makes the following rules, namely:— PART I PRELIMINARY CHAPTER I 1. Short title, application and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Uttaranchal Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2005. (2) They shall apply to the building or other construction work relating to any establishment in relation to which the appropriate Government is the State Government of Uttaranchal.
