Form 1B is the official Certificate of Competency issued by the Chief Inspector to a qualified person or institution under applicable occupational safety and factory regulations. The certificate authorizes the holder to conduct inspections, examinations, testing, certification, and safety assessments of buildings, machinery, lifting equipment, pressure plants, confined spaces, ventilation systems, and other specified industrial installations.
